We can help make your walks enjoyable again!
What the package covers
In our One-on-One sessions we normally visit your home to address a specific issue your dog is struggling with – but right now our 121’s happen in the park adhering to social distancing.
We’ll then
- work out a transformation plan which includes a training plan to set you up for success
- show you how to play the games to help your dog with their struggle
- follow up with an additional visits to your home or out and about to make sure you’re able to put in to practice what you’ve learned
Whatever the problem we will structure the training games to transform your dog to be able to make better choices, and therefore overcome the problem they’re struggling with.

Adult Life Skill Training Classes
We offer group classes in Leith, Edinburgh.
Group classes run for 4 weeks. We find this helps you feel confident and comfortable training your dog. Access to group classes is when your dog has had some training with us, either through attending puppy classes, or a 121 session

Adult Life Skill Classes
Our fun Life Skills group classes runs for 5 weeks on Saturday morning in Portobello.
We work on building life skills like confidence, optimism, calmness and focus. It’s never too late to join a training class, and with our tried and tested games based training, we’ll give you all the tools you need to succeed.
We run weekly classes, which last 50 min, each week focussing on a life skill your dog needs to succeed. We will also cover common struggles like
- loose lead walking
- recall
- jumping up
- and all those other niggles that your dog might be struggling with
What makes our classes different is that we reinforce these skills with short fun games you can play with your dog at home or in the park. You could replace a daily walk with a games session, they do an amazing job at tiring pups out!
An important part of learning is to play, it creates social, calm, confident and optimistic dogs.
Our adult dog training classes in Edinburgh is a safe space where we encourage calmness, positive, and confident dogs. By playing short games with your dog, you create that all important bond that lasts a lifetime.

Where are the classes?
The classes are at the Leith end of Ferry road.
Portobello classes are in entrance of town, near the Aldi

Are the classes indoors?
Yes, we have an indoor hall, and an outdoor space we can use in the Summer months
What time do classes start?
6pm, and 7:30pm in Leith and 10am and 11:30am in Portabello
Is there parking?
Yes, there’s free on street parking available.
How long do classes run for?
5 weeks, plus you get a one hour one-to-one session in your home, a local park, or an environment where your pup is struggling.
How long are indivdual classes?
Classes run for 50 minutes.
What should I bring to the class?
- Your puppy! (Yes, we know, but it’s happened)
- A blanket your pup knows
- A Kong Toy filled with something yummy
- A water bowl
- A harness or a flat collar
- A regular lead, rather than an extendible
- A variety of tasty treats broken in to pea sized pieces
Why should we come to group classes?
Group classes are a great way to get structured training with other like minded people. Your pup learns new skills, they get to socialise with other dogs, and you get to make new friends. And everyone learns something too!
My dog knows how to sit and give a paw, do I need classes?
In addition to the basics, all of our training helps your dog learn valuable life skills:
- Being confident in new environments
- settling when needed to
- building a strong bond between you and your dog
We tailor each behaviour and game to your skill level. Beginners get the basics, and advance dogs get challenged to learn new things
What is games based training?
We play short 5 minute games to strengthen each behaviour your dog learns. An example might be when teaching your dog to settle, we make the bed area a fun place to hang out by enticing them off the bed and back on the bed through a fun game.
How many other dogs will there be?
Our classes are a maximum of 6 dogs. That means you get plenty of individual attention.
How many people can come along with your dog to training classes?
We welcome all the family members to attend training and learn how to teach their dog together. All children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult for training classes.
Does my puppy need to be vaccinated before coming to class?
Yes, it is so important that your dog is fully vaccinated before attending classes for their own health and safety. We will require proof of vaccination on your first visit.
Our puppy socialisation class is suitable only for pups that are fully vaccinated including kennel cough vaccine. This is because young pups are susceptible for virus when mixing with a group of dogs. Please contact your vet for clarification on vaccine protocols if you are in doubt of what level of vaccination your puppy has had.
How old should my puppy be?
Classes are great from 12 weeks onwards until puppies are about 6 months old.
What happens if we miss a class?
We get it, life happens. Don’t worry if you miss a class though, each week we’ll send you a video of what we covered in class so that you can catch up. We can’t transfer missed classes to another time though.
Can we teach older dogs?
Yes absolutely, dogs are never too old to learn new tricks and we welcome dogs of all age groups to come and experience our games
What are life skill classes?
Once puppies have spent 5 weeks with us, they can join our life skills classes which run in Portobello. Dogs older than 6 months can join these classes too.
What happens after the 5 weeks?
Hopefully you love our games based training method so much, that you’d like to continue learning new games and join us for more training in Porty on Saturday mornings.
What does the one hour one-to-one session cover?
This session is a private hour where we help you with any struggles your pup might be facing. It can be in a local park or your own home.
We cover all of Edinburgh, including Leith, the West End, Newington, Stockbridge, Portobello, Edinburgh’s New Town, Old Town and surrounding areas.
